Mihajlo Pupin Institute
After the successful cooperation at the exhibition "Birth of Humanoid Robotics", held in the museum in Gallery 51 from December 22, 2017 to February 15, 2018, the "Mihajlo Pupin" Institute donated most of the exhibits to the museum.
This small group of items became part of the newly founded Collection of Automatics and Robotics.
The donated exhibits are among the most important and valuable exhibits that the museum heritage.
Among the donated exhibits is the first prosthetic robotic arm in the world (a model of a multifunctional external hand prosthesis), which is known in the world as the "Belgrade Hand". The Hand was created by a team of scientists and engineers from the "Mihajlo Pupin" Institute headed by professors Rajko Tomović and Miodrag Rakić.
